Hail is a form of solid precipitation often confused with Ice Pellets (Sleet). It consists of balls or asymmetrical layers of ice, each of which is called a hailstone. Hail forms in strong thunderstorm clouds, particularly those with intense updrafts, great vertical ,high liquid water content, extent, large water droplets, and where a good portion of the cloud layer is below freezing. These types of strong updrafts can also indicate the presence of a tornado. The growth rate of hailstones is impacted by factors such as higher elevation, lower freezing zones, and wind shear. Hail can range in size from a sphere comparable to a pea, all the way to the size of a grapefruit. Hail causes about $1 billion dollars in damage to property every year.

Wind Damage is any damage that has been caused by high winds or a severe wind storm. Winds that can typically damage properties begin around 40-60 MPH. But given the age or current conditions of your roof it may be more prone to lesser forces. Gusts at the ground are caused by either turbulence due to wind shear or friction. These two major mechanisms can cause damages as the force of the winds can quickly change speed as well as direction In the case of friction, gusts are generated when wind blows around buildings, trees or other obstacles.

I wanted to thank you guys for helping us out. We had a smooth experience for something that I've found to be a massive headache, but you were on it every step of the way. The house looks great, and ive gotten several compliments already. I'll be passing the word along to everyone I know. Thank you!

Had these guys take a look at my roof after a tree fell on my home. They put me together a reasonable estimate. They were able to get everything done in a timely manner and I was very happy with the quality of work.

Spruce Roofing was a wonderful company to work with. Austin was very professional and friendly. He took time to not only explain the entire process to me but also answer any and every question I had. The work was completed quickly with Austin on site for the entire build. I would absolutely recommend Spruce Roofing to anyone needed to get their roof installed.
